Interesting & Unique Facts: Barron grew up in Washington D.C. and went to Princeton University for her undergraduate degree. She went to Stanford to get a PhD in history, but never completed her dissertation. After leaving Stanford, applied to the CIA and worked there for four years. She wrote her first book in 1992 and left the CIA a year later.
